WW TIGER WRESTLING CLUB
“Champions for life”
The goal of the WW Tiger Wrestling Club is to make the wrestlers into Champions both on and off the mat. Life lessons dealing with motivation, work ethic, and teamwork will be put to the test everyday. Additionally, the wrestlers will learn discipline, competitiveness, and goal setting in a fun, family-oriented atmosphere.
Wrestling will focus on 7 core components. Each practice will focus on developing all aspects and achieving optimal performance in each one. First, techniques from the neutral position will be taught with an emphasis on aggressiveness and explosiveness. Secondly, techniques on the mat will focus on getting out from the bottom position, while turning your opponent from the top position. The third component is physical strength. Strength will be developed as you must continually move and manipulate your opponent. Conditioning is the fourth aspect and will focus on developing each wrestler’s stamina and cardiovascular endurance. Flexibility is another area that will greatly improve as all body parts will achieve a greater range of motion. Additionally, healthy nutritional habits that provide energy and repair the body will be examined. Finally, the attitude of the wrestlers will improve as their character and work ethic will be tested on a daily basis.
Tiger Wrestling Club plans to create wrestlers of high moral character, while inspiring truth, honesty and good work ethic. We believe these qualities will direct our boys into adulthood with the values, necessary to succeed and be respected citizens of their communities.
Come join us for a season of fun, challenge, and growth in youth wrestling. Wrestling is a sport that allows kids to compete with other kids in age and weight parity unlike other sports. It also provides one of the most balanced workouts and training regimens, which can translate into improved coordination in other sports. It is an ideal off-season, companion sport to football for teaching agility and footwork while also honing vision, balance, and total body coordination. It builds self-confidence, creates a sense of self reliance, and fosters good sportsmanship.
